THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

The first-time visitor to Turkey will be astonished at the number of ruins, left behind by ancient civilisations. Jasmine Heights is near to the old town of Side, founded in the seventh century BC. Even Alexander the Great was attracted to the area, and Side's rich history continues to dominate the town.

SEE BOTH SIDES

The ancient harbour is still used by fishermen today. Side's shops, bars and restaurants complete the perfect setting for tourists, and our purchasers. There are spectacular views of the Taurus Mountains – site of the famous Green Canyon – and dense forests. Also nearby is the Manavgat Waterfall, where powerful foaming water contrasts with the tranquillity of shady tea gardens. A local market is held every week, and a major supermarket is only a short distance from Jasmine Heights.

A RAFT OF ACTIVITIES

As well as the skiing, sandy beaches, rafting events and mini safaris mentioned earlier, our purchasers can enjoy fresh water fishing and boat tours. Golfers can take in the scenery and enjoy playing pristine courses including the fabulous new Lykia Links just twenty minutes away and others in the popular sporting area of Belek just forty minutes away. These are the main attractions, and there are many more in store for sightseers. Jasmine Heights is an extraordinary development where our purchasers, interested in past and present, can enjoy the best of both worlds.

Side (pronounced 'sea day') is one of the best-known classical sites in Turkey. It is situated on a small peninsula on the Mediterranean coast between Antalya and Alanya. Side enjoys a comfortable temperature all year round, and with 300 hours of sunshine each year it really is the perfect holiday destination. For the more adventurous there are many watersports activities, golfing and skiing in the nearby Taurus Mountains (in season). Alternatively just relax, enjoy the climate and discover a little of the ancient history of the local area.
golf and skiing Flanked by two long sandy beaches, Side offers plenty of space for sunbathing and watersports, there are many centres offering scuba diving, water skiing and even parascending. At the end of the day why not try out one of the nightclubs where you can sometimes see international bands. Nearby the Taurus Mountains are the western branch of the Himalayan mountain belt, the great mountain chain that stretches across all of Asia, in May it is even possible to ski in the morning and swim in the Mediterranean in the afternoon.

Side itself is steeped in history, once the secret hideaway of Anthony and Cleopatra, it boasts a Roman amphitheatre and Apollo's Temple, one of the most instantly recognisable landmarks in Side, amongst many other architectural treasures and, if you keep your eyes open you may see one of the wild tortoises which live in this area. Take a wander round the picturesque harbour and relax with a meal or a drink at one of the many small bars and restaurants and enjoy the often spectacular sunset. Explore further afield and there is plenty to see at Aspendos and Perge. Only four kilometers from Side is the town of Manavgat, here you will find a wide range of shops and other services. Three kilometers north of the town, on the Manavgat River, is the Manavgat Waterfall and nearby there are shady tea gardens providing a pleasant resting place.
